Phugewadi and Dapodi are located in the northwestern part of Pune, along the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway (now part of the Pune-Mumbai Highway). They are rapidly developing suburban areas, characterized by a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial activities. Historically, this area was primarily industrial, but in recent years, it has witnessed significant residential growth due to its connectivity, affordability (compared to central Pune), and proximity to employment hubs. They fall under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
