With summer hanging over heads, we could do with a few easy hacks to make our homes cooler and breezier. The world outside can be tough, but our homes needn't be. Check these tips out, to get yourself a hassle-free summer.
1. DAMP CURTAINS
The simplest trick in the book is to dampen your curtains. Dip the hem of your curtains in water, and lightly spray the fabric. Leave the fan on and settle in for a good long nap.
2. LET THE PLANTS OUT
Leafy plants work wonders at managing heat. If you have large potted plants, move them closer to the window and let the greens do the heavy lifting. These plants absorb most of the heat, allowing the room to become cooler.
3. INVEST IN AN CLAY POT
Ditch the fridge this summer and switch to the more sustainable and healthier 'matka' option. Not only is the water healthier, but it also provides you with a more eco-friendly solution to a high electricity consuming refrigerator.
