Kondasapura is a suburb located in the eastern part of Bangalore, India. It is home to around 35,000 residence and is one of the oldest suburbs of Bangalore. The area boasts of having some of the best educational institutes, shopping malls, markets and is known for its vibrant and cosmopolitan culture. Kondasapura has a rich historical and cultural heritage. It was earlier known as Visvesvaraya Grama, after the famous engineer and statesman Sir Visvesvaraya.The area is believed to have been the home of Maratha warriors in the past, who fought the British in the 18th century.
