Introduction
The M2M vessel will slash the journey to just 3 hours for Jaigad (Ratnagiri) and 5 hours for Vijaydurg (Sindhudurg), from X account of Nitesh Rane; News18
Fisheries and Port Development Minister, Nitesh Rane, announced the
launch of Ro-Ro (Roll-On, Roll-Off) ferry services from Bhaucha Dhakka port in
Mumbai to Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. What takes around 12 hours by road, 6 hours
by train, will now only take about 5 to 6 hours of trip to Ratnagiri, reducing
the journey in half. Named M2M Princess, the main reason for its start is to
lessen the road congestion as well make the travellers reach their destination
in just a few hours.
M2M Princess Ferry Charges Per Category
The prices for each of the four classes will range from ₹2,500 to ₹9,000 per person with its total capacity being 656 people.
- The Economy Class with 552 seats reserved will be charged for ₹2,500.
- As for the Premium Economy, it will have 44 seats reserved with its charge being ₹4,000.
- The charge for Business Class will be ₹7,500 with 48 seats reserved for this class.
- And lastly for the First Class which will have 12 seats reserved, the fees charged will be ₹9,000.

Fares Charged for Vehicles
Another notable factor is that one can carry their personal vehicles like cars, bikes and bicycles as well as minibuses and buses.
- The charge for a four-wheeler will be ₹6,000 with the capacity of 50 cars.
- The bike or a two-wheeler with the capacity of 30 bikes will be charged for ₹1,000.
- The bicycles will be charged for ₹600.
- The charges for mini buses, 30 seater buses and 45 seater buses will be ₹13,000, 17,000 and 21,000 respectively.

Route and Speed

M2M will be considered as the fastest Ro-Ro ferry in the whole of South
Asia with its travel speed being 25 knots. The journey will begin from Bhaucha
Dhakka port in Mumbai to Jaigad in Ratnagiri which will take up to 3 and 3.5
hours whereas it will take up to 5 to 6 hours till Vijaydurg in Sindhudurg. As
for the return journey, it will begin after a two-hour halt. With its launch,
it will initiate the travel from Mumbai to Ratnagiri to become faster so as to
avoid a tiring journey filled with road congestion.

M2M will benefit anyone travelling from Mumbai to Konkan, especially during the festival season so as to avoid the heavy traffic. It will be a relieving means for the Konkan residents as well as the tourists who need to reach their destination in a more efficient and quickest manner.
