Hubtown Ltd. is a publicly listed real estate corporation, which was formerly known as Ackruti City Limited. The company is not only into building houses but also develops mega infrastructural projects in the public-private or a solely private domain. The group is active in developing parts of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and cities in Gujarat. It is responsible for developing about 50 million sq. ft. in Mumbai alone, cascading millions of developed realty across the country on top.
Since its inception, Hubtown Limited has pioneered the contemporary realty development trends for Mumbai. In 1995, the company became amongst the first privately traded company to partner with the Maharashtra Government in it/s slum rehabilitation actions, and the first private company to receive a Transferable Development Right certificate (TDR). The company went to be listed on BSE and NSE in the year 2007. Until 2011, the company traded with the name Ackruti City Ltd.
The management of the company includes Mr Hemant Shah and Mr Vyomesh Shah, civil engineers and chartered accountants by profession. Mr Hemant Shah is the founder and president of Jain International Trade Organisation and Vyomesh has headed MHCI-CREDAI for Mumbai from 2013 to 2015. The company has numerous glamourous accolades ranging from the areas of residential, commercial, infrastructural, public-private venture and slum-rehabilitation. One of the key successes for the company is when it won the tender to redevelop bus-stations across Gujarat, collaborating with the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC).
