Upcoming Projects by Karnataka Housing Board

One of the key initiatives of the Karnataka Housing Board is the development of five hi-tech cities, proposed during a review meeting in 2023. These cities, planned to be constructed on 2,000-acre land each, aim to provide around 1.50 lakh sites and 25,000 additional housing units. Additionally, the board has proposed the construction of 1,000 luxury villas on 500-acre land in the outskirts of Bangalore, all to be implemented under a 50:50 Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Through such innovative projects and a strong focus on eco-friendly surroundings, infrastructure development, and improving the quality of living, the Karnataka Housing Board continues to play a crucial role in shaping the housing landscape of the state and ensuring sustainable urban development.

The Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) has unveiled plans for an expansive integrated township in close proximity to the Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore. Encompassing an impressive expanse of 95.23 acres within the Chikkajala-Meenukunte village, this township is poised to host a dynamic blend of residential and commercial developments, with a substantial 65 acres dedicated to these purposes.
With an estimated project cost amounting to approximately INR 850 Crore, the endeavor signals a significant investment in infrastructure and urban development. Notably, the KHB has already submitted a comprehensive proposal outlining the scope and objectives of this forthcoming project to the Karnataka government, marking a crucial step towards its realization.
