About the area

The area is home to various small and medium-sized industries, including the Times of India printing press. The Mahindra & Mahindra plant in Kandivali east occupies a 63-acre built-up area.


About the project

Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd has a name for sustainable urbanisation in India. Roots is the first project from the company in Kandivali after completing five projects with three more projects under construction in the city.

The project will be a 35-floor Independent Tower with each floor having four flats each of 1 & 2 BHK configurations. The 2 BHK configurations come in two options, a house with (719 sqft) or without the balcony (650 sqft), while there is no such choice for the 1 BHK (448 sqft) houses. The prices start from ₹1.15 Cr. for a 1 BHK and from ₹1.75 Cr. for a 2 BHK.

The project is an IGBC Pre Certified Gold one with various sustainable facilities like, low flow fixtures, STP treated water, LED lights, electric charging facility in parking, rain water harvesting and waste management. An interesting feature is that concerns of the differently abled are planned to be considered while construction.

Possession for the project is expected to be received by year end 2022.


Transport and Connectivity

The project is situated on Akurli Road, which often witnesses high traffic. The area has road connectivity via the Western Urban road on the east, S.V. Road and Link Road on the west.

Kandivali railway station lies on the Western Line of the Mumbai suburban railway and is situated at a distance of about 2 km from the project. Other public transport systems include the BEST buses and auto rickshaws. The main bus depot in the area is the Poisar Bus Depot, which is located on S.V. Road in Kandivali.

Two lines of Mumbai Metro (Line 2 and Line 7) will pass through the neighbourhood; once operational. Line 2 will pass through Link Road on the western part and Line 7 will pass through the main arterial Western Urban road on the eastern side of the neighbourhood.


Education

Two schools closest to the project are the Thakur Vidya Mandir High School and the Cambridge School, situated at a distance of about 2 km.

Other schools and colleges nearby include the Lokhandwala Foundation School, the Anudatta School & Jr. College, the St. Lawrence High School, Thakur Shyamnarayan High School and the Thakur College of Science & Commerce, located within the range of 4 km from the project.


Employment

The most predominant office complexes in the eastern part of the area include that of Mahindra & Mahindra, the Times of India printing press and various medium sized industries. The location is about 6-10 km from other major commercial hubs like Mindspace, NESCO and Nirlon Knowledge Park in the suburbs.


Hospitals and Healthcare

Having a good hospital closest to your home is of great importance to people belonging to all age groups. The closest hospital from the project is the DNA Multi-specialty Hospital, which is located at a distance of about 400 metres.There are several other hospitals like, the ESIC hospital, Asha Hospital, Orthoplus High Tech Hospital, Seven Star Multi-specialty Hospital, Sanjeevani Hospital and Siddhant Children's Hospital are located within 2-3 km from the project.

The closest pharmacy to the project is the King Pharma, which is located at about 100 metres, while one will have to walk about 400 metres to get to another one.
