Residential sales across top 8 tier-I Indian cities has grown by 13% during the financial year 2017-18.

A report by Liases Foras Ratings & Research states that residential sales across top 8 tier-I Indian cities has grown by 13% during the financial year 2017-18.
Mumbai Metropolitan Area (MMR) has witnessed maximum growth (25%). Delhi-NCR followed with 19% increase in sales. In the South, Hyderabad witnessed a growth of 17% while Chennai and Bangalore witnessed a drop in sales by 15% and 5% respectively.
Affordable housing contributed to 18% sales in the fourth quarter in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
NCR made the largest contribution to sales in the affordable segment (26%) followed by MMR (23%).
