The Pune Ring Road Project is a 170-km-long, access-controlled expressway designed to decongest traffic in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad by diverting heavy vehicles away from the city. Conceptualized by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) in 2007, the project faced multiple delays but is now set to begin construction in February 2025, with a completion target of June 2027.
This eight-lane expressway will significantly enhance connectivity, linking major highways and improving inter-city movement, thereby benefiting Pune's infrastructure and real estate market.
