Sadashiv Peth is an area located in Pune, in Maharashtra State of the Republic of India. This name is derived from the name of Sadashivrao Peshwa. Sadashiv peth is predominantly occupied by Brahmins, especially Chitpavan Brahmins, with fair share of some other classes as well. Renowned educational institutions like Bhave School, Renuka Swaroop School,Dnyan Prabodhini Prashala,SPM English School are located here. Temples like Khunya Muralidhar, Joshi yanche Narsimha temple, Junnarkar Datta Mandir, Upashi Vitthal,Shanipar have long history and are famous among Punekars. It falls under the Kasba Peth constituency and its current legislator is Girish Bapat, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).
