We have all seen roads under, in front or behind buildings. But, have you ever heard of a road passing through a building?

The 16-storey Great Tower Building in downtown Osaka, Japan may seem like an ordinary building housing offices. However, look up at the building and be prepared for a surprise. A stretch of the Hashin Expressway passes through the building!

The 16-storey building has rented out floors five through seven to the highway corporation for this purpose. These floors have been sound-proofed so that the traffic does not disturb the other offices on the other floors.
