The Bandra Kurla Complex is a planned commercial complex on the north side of Mahim creek, bound by Kurla in the east and Bandra in the west. According to the MMRDA, the complex is a first in a series of "growth centres" created to "arrest further concentration" of offices and commercial activities in South Mumbai.

BKC serves as a headquarter to numerous corporate and inter-governmental firms and also houses a number of othercommercial buildings.
