We have known of and seen buildings of all shapes and sizes. But, have you seen the Dancing House? Well, what you see in the picture is a building of the de-constructed style.
The initial idea was to build a single tower, but this was thought to be too "masculine". It was then decided to develop a feminine counterpoint, too. The idea behind such a building is to a show contrast between static and dynamic (dancing) figures. The masculine part of the Dancing House is shown as a solid tower on three pillars, while the feminine building is a glass tower on eight columns, inclined towards the male building.
This building was made at Prague in 1996. Its official name is Nationale-Nederlanden Building.
