Universal Studios' theme park, The New York Times

India will soon welcome its first ever Universal Studios' theme park in Delhi's Aerocity, close to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, which is scheduled to open around mid-2027. This indoor theme park will be a part of the biggest mall in India with the massive space of 3 million square feet, developed by Bharti Realty of Bharti Enterprises with the theme park expected to be of 300,000 square feet.

Universal Studios' theme park is known for bringing to life some of its famous movies or TV shows' characters to life. It promises thrilling rides, engaging ways of storytelling, live performances, simple rides, photo sessions with the renowned characters and so much more. The themes are based on Universal Studios' popular movie franchises like Despicable Me, Harry Potter, Minions, Transformers, Fast & Furious, Jurassic World, King Kong, etc.

There are a total of 5 Universal Studios' theme parks across the world. They are Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Beijing Resort. Once it comes to India, it will also feature similar kinds of rides and attractions in its indoor theme park but also have its own unique twist to it like the other destinations of this theme park.
