Farah Khan born on 9th January, 1965, is a daughter of Kamran Khan, a stuntman and filmmaker and Menaka Irani. Her childhood was tough after her parents' separation and financial problems when her father's film 'Aisa Bhi Hota Hai' didn't do well in the box office. She studied in Mumbai's St. Teresa's Convent School and studied sociology at St. Xavier's College of Mumbai.

Farah Khan's contribution to movies and entertainment is just not limited to choreographing, but it also extends to film direction. She has directed four movies till date. They are:

• Main Hoon Na (2004), a blend of action and comedy, this movie is about an army major who goes undercover as a college student
• Om Shanti Om (2007) is a right mixture of romance, revenge and reincarnation
• Tees Maar Khan (2010) is a comedy movie about robbery
• Happy New Year (2014) is another one of Farah Khan's comedy heist movies that revolves around dance competition, revenge and friendship.
