The State Minister Prakash Mehta said the Government of Maharashtra aims to build at least 10 lacsaffordable homes in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and 5 lacs affordable houses across the rest of the state.
Earlier in May, Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, said the government is set to achieve its housing targets by mid next year. Out of a total of 11M homes, 4.5M units have already been sanctioned, Puri told ET Realty.
