Maharashtra records highest RERA registrations

According to a report by ET Realty, Maharashtra records highest total number of registrations of real estate projects under the Real Estate Regulation Act (RERA) across the country.
Out of the 25,000 projects recorded under RERA across the country since its implementation in May 2017, as many as 16,125 (65%) projects have been registered in Maharashtra.
MahaRERA secretary Vasant Prabhu spoke about plans to reach out to the rural areas of Marathwada and Vidarbha for a stricter check on unregistered projects.
Apart from registering projects, the state has also organised a fast-tracking of consumer complaints to ensure speedy rulings by setting up a conciliation forum and the Real Estate Appellate Tribunal.
