Demolition of properties in Pune under MahaMetro plan
More than 600 properties on the Pune Metro rail corridor have been identified for demolition under the MahaMetro plan.

An agency under the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (MahaMetro) has marked 688 properties on two Metro rail corridors in Pune for demolition.
These properties include homes, slums, and shops. Out of 688, 472 are located on the Pimpri-Swargate section and 155 on the Vanaz-Ramwadi corridor.
MahaMetro will conduct a baseline survey of all of these properties and will construct a rehabilitation plan based on the survey. But, according to officials, the same rehabilitation policy cannot be applied to every property. Slum dwellers, for instance, will be shifted to slum rehabilitation authority schemes. There will also be the option of paying compensation according to the latest government policy.
