The sea-facing bungalow of 13,200 sq ft has been leased for a period of five years at a total rent of ₹11.07 crore, according to the property registration documents. Registered on January 12 and finalized on February 6, the five-year lease term is effective from October 2024 to October 2029.
'Cabins', designed by Ratan Tata, is owned by Ewart Investments, a subsidiary of Tata Sons. The property is leased for a starting rent of ₹17.56 lakh per month with a rent escalation of 10% every 3 years. As per the documents, the company paid ₹4.63 lakh for stamp duty and ₹1,000 for the registration of the transaction. The company paid an interest-free security deposit of ₹10 crore.
The built-up area of the property is 13,200 sq ft, covering a ground plus three floors and a basement. The property is leased with multiple fixtures and fittings such as CCTV cameras, wooden tables, six air conditioners, one portable air conditioner, sofa, beds, coffee tables, a kitchen chimney, cabinets, a TV cabinet, cupboards, to name a few.

In February 2025, the bungalow named 'Laxmi Nivas', which is located on the Nepean Sea Road, was sold for ₹276 crore.
